THE PERTH AGREEMENT

What we publish, and what we don’t

Ideas are checked against the publishing rules. Those that follow them appear on the open record once approved. Anything that breaks the rules below can be removed. There is no promised review time. Disagreement, criticism of the proposal and hard questions are always published. The test is whether something is aimed at an idea or at a person.

Policy version 2026-11-06-t565. Submissions require confirmation that ideas may appear on the open record once approved. Contributions are published in the contributor’s own words. Held contributions stay recoverable while review continues; attached files stay private until an idea is approved. Disagreement with the project, its custodian, governments, faiths or proposed solutions is not a reason to hold an idea.

These rules are for Student Circle idea posts. Correspondence, invitations and private requests follow the main site’s seven openness principles. Incoming email is not automatically public.

We don’t publish

  1. Outside the scope of this discussion: ideas that may be valuable but are better suited to another discussion. Where we can, we’ll say where it falls outside.
  2. No idea included: posts with no idea, question or feedback.
  3. Spam or advertising: selling, promotions, scams or repeated copy-paste.
  4. Personal information needing protection: anyone’s phone number, home address or other personal details, including your own, or naming private individuals in a way that could harm them.
  5. Threats or encouragement of violence, including encouraging harm to anyone.
  6. Abuse or hate: attacks on a person or group because of race, religion, gender, nationality or similar.

Also

  • Criticism of the project or its custodian is published like anything else, as long as it follows these rules.
  • Attached files follow the same rules; no malware and no private documents. Files stay private until the idea is approved. Held ideas keep their files for review; files are removed only if an idea is permanently deleted or an unused upload expires.
  • If something isn’t published because of its tone, you are welcome to rephrase it and send it again.
  • A public count of ideas not published, and why, is kept below, without the text.

Ideas not published

We publish ideas that help explore, question or develop The Perth Agreement. Some may offer something valuable but be better suited to another discussion. Disagreement, criticism and different approaches are always welcome.
